ABOUT WOOL SOCKS FROM HIRSCH SPORTS:
Our sports and trekking series "Sports" are made from the very best merino wool. One key difference: cotton or synthetic fiber socks should be washed after each use so they don't smell unpleasant. Not this one! The reason: Sportswear and socks made from merino wool, the only fiber nature made for clothing, changes to acidic pH levels in contact with sweat, stunting the development of bacteria and fungi. This environment causes the skin to tighten, preventing blisters, even on long walks. After intensive exercise or a long walking day, it is sufficient to air the socks for a few days before using them again. It is sufficient to wash socks worn / broadcast like this up to once a month. The care is very simple: you can wash the sports equipment in the washing machine after 3-4 weeks of use (wool program). Our super fine Merino wool is treated with Nature-Texx. This chlorine-free treatment allows for machine washing. All walking and protection areas are reinforced with an extra thread of untreated colored Merino wool. In use, this wool is transformed into a very strong and durable felt, which protects and insulates perfectly. Wool feels comfortable and dry, even when you sweat. It can absorb a lot of moisture (up to 33% of its dry weight). Our Merinos come from certified organic farming in Patagonia. The yarn is spun in Europe. Dyeing, knitting and production takes place in Germany.
